English

English is taught for a minimum of 10 hours each week. Students currently operate within 3 small classes (Prep/1, years 2/3 and years 4-6). Our small class numbers offer a genuine personalised learning experience and are coupled with daily, small intervention and extension focus groups co-ordinated by teaching support staff for ALL children. It is not uncommon for our students to work within cross-year ability based groups, ensuring that individual literacy needs are nutured.

Our guaranteed and viable curriculum in English ensures that all students have access to rigorous Reading and Viewing, Writing and Speaking and Listening programs.

All English work programs are planned by the teaching team, reflect the whole-school instructional model and are in line with our agreed curriculum.
