I am extremely proud to be the principal of Queenscliff Primary School.
Queenscliff Primary School is a small, rural, government school in Queenscliff, on the Bellarine Peninsula. Throughout recent years, our school has experienced considerable enrolment growth, and in 2022 has an enrolment of 160 students. We currently operate in seven classes (1 Prep, 2 x Year 1, 1 x Year 2, 1 x Year 3/4, 1 x Year 3/4/5 and 1 x Year 5/6) with dynamic and fresh generalist, specialist and educational support staff. We have 1 full-time principal, 1x full-time assistant principal, 7 full-time generalist teachers, 2x .5 classroom teacher, 5 part-time classroom education support staff, 1 full-time and 1 part-time administration staff and 1 full time and 2 part-time and specialist teachers.
It is our shared belief that that every child, regardless of their cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, has access to and is provided with equal opportunities for educational, social and emotional success. We provide students with rigorous and engaging literacy, numeracy and inquiry curriculum as well as our comprehensive specialist program including weekly; visual art, performing art, science, physical education, Japanese, First Nations Studies and fortnightly kitchen/garden. Digital technologies and values education are taught by the classroom teachers within the curriculum. Queenscliff Primary School's values of Gratitude, Optimism, Empathy and Integrity are underpinned by our comprehensive School Wide Positive Behaviours Support program as well as the school being a Respectful Relationships lead school for the Bellarine.
